A welcoming gateway for girls and women to step confidently into soccer — whether as players, coaches, or leaders.

Goals:

  1. Recruit more female participants (players and coaches).
  2. Build awareness of the Club’s commitment to female leadership in soccer.
  3. Create a sense of belonging and pride within the “Hotspurs for Her” community.
  4. Link with SheCAN Coach program for a fully defined pathway and integration

The Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club is thrilled to introduce Hotspurs for Her, a new initiative created to celebrate and empower girls and women in soccer—whether you’re a player, a coach, or simply love the game.

This isn’t just soccer training—it’s a community where you can learn, play, laugh, and grow together. Expect monthly sessions filled with games, music, giveaways, and skill-building—all in a fun, supportive environment.

Why Now?

Women’s soccer in Canada is growing fast! Following the successful first season of the Northern Super League (NSL) and a federal investment of up to $5.45 million to strengthen training and facilities, opportunities for female athletes have never been better. Plus, Canada Soccer’s “Close the Gap” strategy is opening doors for more girls and women to play, lead, and shine.


What Hotspurs for Her Offers:

  • Monthly all-women training sessions—fun, social, and skill-focused
  • Mentorship from certified coaches and community leaders
  • Pathways to competitive play aligned with NSL and Canada Soccer initiatives
  • Opportunities to pursue coaching certifications through the Junior Coach Development or SheCAN Coach program
